The Palatine Project : Reconstructed Passenger Lists, 1683-1819. The Palatine Project is an attempt using sources from German speaking countries as well as early colonial American sources to reconstruct the passenger lists of Germans who came to America in the first large wave of emigration in the 18th century.
German Emigrants to New York 1709-1710. Most of the Palatines for New York began boarding ships in Dec 1709, but did not leave England until April 1710. About 3,100 emigrants sailed on 11 ships to New York. About 470 Germans perished on the voyage and another 250 after landing. An estimated 2,500 disease-laden emigrants had to be provided for in New York : List 1 - List 2 - List 3 - List 4 - List 5 - List 6 - List 7 - List 8
Passenger List : 1738 Nassau-Siegen Emigrants. A colony of about 50 persons left Freudenberg in the western part of Nassau-Siegen (Westfalen) in March 1738 to settle in Georgia.

The Sinking of the S.S. Golden Gate in 1862 : At 2:30 pm on Monday July 21, 1862, one of the fastest steamers then on the West Coast left San Francisco with 338 passengers and crew bound for Panama. This trip wouldn't be completed – at least not for the 213 people lost when the ship caught fire and sank off Manzanillo, Mexico. The Survivors, The Deceased

Passenger list for the ship 'Higginson' sailing from Caernarfonshire with 141 Welsh Emigrants on board and arriving in New York May 18th 1850. Most of these 141 passengers were Welsh people from Merionethshire and the County of Anglesey, six were English. The Ship left Caernarfon on April 9th with 141 passengers and arrived at New York with the same number.
